Chef Thilde Gilling Andersen - Also known as

"The Queen of Smørrebrød" and referred to as “Tyremor” (Mother of Bulls)

 

Throughout her career as an Executive Chef and Developer, Thilde Gilling Andersen has influenced

and shaped the profiles of several highly regarded and acclaimed restaurants both domestically and internationally.

In Scandinavia, she is known for the successes at renowned establishments like Restaurant Carl Nielsen, Kolonihagen Frogner, and Norrlyst, among others.

Her culinary journey has been distinguished by numerous publications, front covers, awards, and nominations, including Danish Lunch Restaurant of the Year, DM Finalist, and Norwegian Restaurant of the Year.

In November 2022, Chef Gilling Andersen made her debut as a Masterchef Guest Judge, featuring a selection of her signature dishes. 

To this day, she remains being the only Danish chef

to have achieved a star-rating for culinary expertise with the Danish national dish and culinary heritage; Smørrebrød.

 

In October 2023, Chef Gilling Andersen reached iconic status by receiving The Honorary Award by The Danish Culinary Guide, for outstanding contributions to the industry and her mastery of smørrebrød.
